LOU CASTILLO - CERAMIC ARTIST @ LA TÓMBOLA

Costa Rican ceramic artist Lou Castillo is the creative genius behind “La Tómbola” a truly, one-of-a-kind ceramic brand specialized in creating stunning ceramic pieces.

From vases to tableware, each piece is handmade and unique, with a focus on natural and organic shapes and textures, drawing inspiration from the vibrant culture and natural environment of Costa Rica. La Tómbola's exquisite ceramics are a perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality, adding a touch of beauty and purpose to any living space.

ROBERTO ACUÑA -  PAINTER @ OJO AL CRISTO &  FOUNDER @ NOSARA PRIDE

Despite being born in San José, he considers himself a true "nicoyano". Roberto Acuña is a costa rican journalist who moved to Nosara in 2018 where he discovered his passion for art.

Under the brand name "Ojo Al Cristo", Roberto creates art that is deeply inspired by his personal experiences and moods. The changing seasons have a particularly strong impact on him, influencing his use of color palettes. Roberto is also THE founder of Nosara's own LGBTQ+ community, Nosara pride.

SARE SLATER - FASHION DESIGNER @ 15K

Introducing Sare Slater, the creative force behind 15K, a clothing brand dedicated to crafting timeless wardrobe essentials using natural fabrics. Originally from Canada, Sare now calls Nosara home and is the co-founder of 15K along with her business partner, Storm.

With a passion for minimalism and functionality, her designs showcase high-quality craftsmanship and sustainability. From classic linen dresses to versatile cotton separates, 15K's collection is a must-have for anyone looking for sustainable and stylish fashion.

PAUL DACOSTA - PAINTER & MUSICIAN

Paul DaCosta a British-born artist of Jamaican, Portuguese, and Costa Rican ancestry. He first arrived in Nosara to visit a friend, but soon found home here. Paul's art is heavily influenced by the subconscious and nature, serving as conduits, portals, or windows to other worlds. Currently, he's creating works for an upcoming solo exhibition.

Besides his artistic pursuits, Paul is also an incredibly talented musician and can often be found performing at El Basílico.
