5 OFF-THE-BEATEN-PATH ROMANTIC DATE IDEAS IN NOSARA

BREAKFAST/LUNCH AT SODA PLAYA GARZA

Yes, romantic dinners are great and all but how about a romantic breakfast, or even lunch, at a secret beachfront restaurant in Garza? Soda Garza is still a secret for most people in Nosara. Driving from Guiones just pass Perozah and take the first right. Follow the little sandy road towards the beach and find one of the most simple yet charming (and private) restaurants in town.

Highlight: Pinto with lobster. Yes, that’s a thing.

HIKING & PICNIC AT PLAYA ROSADA

Do you and your partner look like you belong in a Patagonia catalog? Are you one of those couples that consider hiking, jogging, working out together all fun activities? Say no more. Hiking your way to Playa Rosada (pink beach) followed by a romantic picnic at one of the most stunning beaches in the area is for sure the way to go.

Pro tip: Arrive when it’s low tide walking north from Garza Beach.

MALA NOCHE WATERFALL

With temperatures reaching the 40s °C (100 °F) in February, a trip to Malanoche waterfall is a great idea to surprise your significant other with. Getting there takes about 30 minutes from Guiones and the reward is totally worth it.

Here’s a tip: make it into an adventure. Rent a quad and drive there yourself.

SUNSET SABOR DE LA MONTAÑA

And yet, another secret. Sabor de la Montaña is an ocean view mountain restaurant located roughly 50 min drive from Guiones. This cozy, relaxed local joint offers some of the most beautiful views around, plus, getting there is quite the adventure which makes it extra special.

Important: Rent a quad or 4WD vehicle to get here.

COUPLES MASSAGE IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME

Are you not into the whole Valentine’s fuzz? We get it, it’s totally fine. Stay at home away from all the heart-shaped decorations and treat yourself to a nice, relaxing couples (or singles!) massage in the comfort of your home.
