OUR 5 FAVORITE LUNCH SPOTS IN NOSARA
It’s lunchtime in Nosara, scorching hot outside. You’ve been out all morning exploring and having -oh so much fun-, and realize something’s off; you’re starting to feel hangry and reaching that point we’re all familiar with where you start asking yourself silly questions like “what on Earth am I doing in this jungle?”. Stop it right there, you love this jungle; and here are 5 lunch spots you can run to if you ever find yourself in this situation.
Surprisingly, this one is still kind of a secret in town. Offering an assortment of quick and casual sandwiches and bowls, Harmony’s breakfast & lunch joint is simply outstanding, we can’t think of a better word to describe it. Great service, fresh ingredients, creative dishes, you’ll love it.
Highlight · We’re currently obsessed with their shrimp bowl.
Here's one even some of the best locals don't know about! If you live in Nosara you’ve heard about and have been to Esh Bakery (and yes, we love it too and we’ll write about it in a different post) but we’re not talking about Esh Bakery, we’re talking about their “savory side” business located on the opposite side of the building where the bakery is located. Serving mouthwatering shawarmas and bowls, this one is simply a must.
Highlight · Pita chicken shawarma with extra spicy sauce.
Next time you’re in the Garza area when it’s time for lunch do yourself a favor and go to La Malacrianza. Not only do we absolutely love the relaxed vibes and great service at this place but pretty much every single thing we’ve tried on their menu has been outstanding.
Offering a good variety of dishes that range from traditional casados and finger food to grilled pizzas, this one is for sure a good option for groups and families too.
Highlight · We know we’re talking about lunch here but you’d be making a terrible mistake if you visit this place and don’t try their vegan chocolate cake.
Rosi’s Soda Tica · Noth Guiones, Central Guiones and Pelada
A local favorite and an Institution in this town. Yes, of course this one had to be on our list.
Rosi’s Soda Tica is one of the oldest and most popular restaurants in Nosara, this Tico-style spot serves top-quality breakfast, lunch and big, big smiles. They've recently expanded, opening their third location in the area and that says it all. People just love it.
Highlight… or should we say tip? Head there early, that’s it.
Hungry but in a rush? Single Fin is a gem tucked inside Organico supermarket serving some of THE best bowls in town. Quick service and high-quality ingredients. And a shout out to the girls who work here and are always friendly and helpful despite the endless line of hungry customers.
Highlight · The Salsa Brava bowl on a mixed base of white rice & organic kale.
